A dashi ochazuke (broth-poured rice bowl) specialty counter run by Kubara Honke's Kayanoya, tucked inside the GRANSTA Marunouchi shopping arcade in the basement of Tokyo Station, right next to the brand's dashi goods shop. Guests choose from about six rice toppings — flaked mackerel, flaked salmon, ginger-simmered chicken soboro, wagyu loin with mushrooms, boiled whitebait and jako, or kelp-cured sea bream — then have one of Kayanoya's signature dashi broths poured over at the table. The compact 20-to-23-seat, all non-smoking space runs on a pre-payment system geared toward quick turnover for travelers passing through the station. Seasonal limited dishes such as grilled bamboo shoot onigiri or chopped eel rotate throughout the year alongside the regular menu.
