A tiny hand-made steamed bun and dumpling counter tucked into Naha's Tsuboya pottery district, run by a couple originally from Taiwan who prepare everything on site. The shop is best known for its hefty butaman (steamed pork buns) packed with saucy stewed pork, alongside garlic-forward pan-fried gyoza with thick, chewy skins, chive water dumplings, and xiaolongbao soup dumplings. A rotating handful of sweet steamed buns — red bean, sweet potato, brown sugar, and plain mantou — round out the counter. Seating is limited to a couple of stools, so most visitors order to go; call ahead if you want your gyoza fresh off the pan, since it is cooked to order.
