A bright, modern, fully accessible cafe on the ground floor of the Nihonbashi Life Science Building, designed around an experimental concept: customer service is delivered by OriHime and OriHime-D avatar robots that are remotely piloted by people with ALS, severe disabilities, or other conditions that keep them homebound. The cream-and-wood interior features a bar counter where Tele-Baristas pour coffee, plus dining tables that small white robots glide between to greet guests, take orders, and chat. Operated by OryLab Inc. and recipient of the 2021 Good Design Grand Award, the cafe serves seasonal sandwiches, double-wagyu hamburg steaks, afternoon tea sets, fair-trade coffee, and a full bar menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Reservations are recommended for the OriHime Diner experience; bar-counter seats welcome walk-ins.
