A Nagoya-born izakaya chain that built its reputation entirely on one dish: tebasaki — deep-fried chicken wings seasoned with a secret peppery-sweet sauce that has made the recipe a closely guarded secret for over 30 years. The second-floor dining room on Center Street has the cheerful, slightly retro feel of a classic Japanese tavern, packed with businesspeople and groups from early evening. Beyond the wings the menu covers Nagoya specialties like miso kushikatsu, Taiwan yakisoba, and ankake spaghetti alongside a full izakaya selection of yakitori, karaage, sashimi and cold draft beer.
