Sankusu is a home-cooking and wine izakaya tucked into a backstreet building in Nishiazabu, run as a casual home-away-from-home by owner "Mama" Hibiki Taniyama for grown-ups who enjoy life after work. The cozy setting centers on simple, comforting Japanese home cooking (obanzai side dishes) paired with wine and a full drink menu, alongside a rotating calendar of DJ nights, live sets, and small art exhibitions. On Wednesdays and Thursdays the restaurant also opens at midday for a hearty daily lunch set. Bento boxes and catering can be arranged on request, with local delivery available in the Nishiazabu area.
