Sangria is a Showa-era institution hidden in the basement of the Kishimoto Building along Marunouchi's Nakadori, moments from Nijubashimae Station. The wood-panelled, dimly-lit interior feels deliberately old-world against its blue-chip surroundings — a counterpoint beloved by local salarymen for decades. The kitchen has been ladling the same legendary curries since the restaurant's founding: aromatic Thai chicken curry, earthy Kashmiri Indian curry, and the house Sangria curry. Lunch brings a queue at the door; evenings are quieter and reservations are strongly recommended for dinner.
