Kobaiya stands at the entrance of Oishi Park on Lake Kawaguchi's northern shore, commanding one of the most unobstructed Mt. Fuji views of any restaurant in the area. The interior is warm and unpretentious, with a terrace opened in July 2025 for sunset dinner — prime real estate for watching the mountain glow orange in the evening. The kitchen's signature is hōtō: flat wheat noodles in a miso-rich broth simmered for over eight hours, thick enough to want finishing to the last drop. Tempura sets and wagyu sirloin nigiri round out a menu priced from ¥2,500 to ¥5,000.
