A traditional restaurant housed in the historic thatched-roof village of Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba, serving houtou — thick flat wheat noodles simmered in rich miso broth — the soul food of Yamanashi Prefecture. Dishes are made with ancient black rice grown in Fujikawaguchiko, seasonal foraged mountain vegetables, and freshwater fish from the Fuji Five Lakes such as wakasagi smelt. Dining takes place inside a beautifully preserved farmhouse; admission to the Nenba village is required to enter.
