A mountain teahouse perched on the ridge trail roughly halfway between Mt. Tsukuba's two peaks — Mt. Nyotai and Mt. Nantai — at one of the most scenic resting spots on the climb. Indoor wooden seating and a small outdoor terrace look out over the forest canopy; hikers stop for a hot bowl of Tsukuba Udon, kenchin soba, motsu stew, or in summer one of five flavoured kakigori shaved ices. The shop is family-run with handwritten menus that swap between winter and summer dishes.
