Bento Menu
Special Cheese Sauce Chicken Cutlet Rice Bento
The shop's signature and only core bento: a large crispy-fried chicken cutlet (from Japanese Daisen chicken, Tottori) placed over tomato rice, finished table-side with a generous pour of warm, mellow house-made cheese sauce and a sprinkle of parsley. Hearty, comforting, and surprisingly non-greasy. Limited to 30 portions daily.

Cheese Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice Bento
A 2020 addition to the menu: the same crispy Daisen chicken cutlet over tomato rice, topped with a dual pour of house-made cheese sauce AND the shop's special curry sauce. The curry adds warmth and spice that pairs beautifully with the mild, creamy cheese. Popular year-round.

Ingredients & Components
Daisen Chicken Cutlet
The main protein: chicken breast from Daisen chicken (大山鶏), a premium brand raised in Tottori Prefecture. The breast is sliced thick, coated in a thin, light breadcrumb crust, and deep-fried in-house to order for a crispy exterior and juicy interior. Served in large pieces.
Tomato Rice
The bento base: Japanese short-grain rice cooked with tomato, giving a mild savory-sweet flavor reminiscent of a pilaf. The acidity of the tomato balances the richness of the cheese sauce perfectly. Served in a generous portion.
House-made Cheese Sauce
The signature sauce: a proprietary blend of melted cheese and cream, smooth and mellow in flavor without being overpowering. Poured hot over the bento just before handoff to keep it warm and creamy. Popular especially with female customers.
Special Curry Sauce
The shop's house curry sauce, available as an add-on with the curry-variant bento. Fragrant and warming, blended to complement the cheese sauce when mixed together. Inspired by Japanese-style curry roux, with a mild to medium spice level.
Parsley Topping
A garnish of dried or fresh parsley sprinkled on top of the finished bento, adding a hint of color and a light herbaceous note to balance the richness of the cheese sauce.
Sweet Corn Accent
Small sweet corn kernels mixed into the tomato rice, providing a satisfying pop of sweetness and texture that contrasts with the savory sauce and cutlet. A subtle but memorable element of the dish.
Ordering & Service
Same-day Purchase (Walk-in)
Up to 30 bento portions are available for same-day walk-in purchase at the shop between 11:30 and 14:00, Monday through Saturday. Sold on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out. No reservation required for individual walk-in orders.
Advance Pre-order (Next Day)
Customers can pre-order bento for the following day by contacting the shop before closing. Pre-orders are prepared separately from the daily 30-portion walk-in allocation, making this ideal for office lunch groups or bulk orders.
Same-day Phone Order
On-the-day reservations are also accepted by phone (080-5008-4209). Call ahead to confirm availability and reserve your bento for pickup during lunch hours. Particularly useful for nearby office workers.
Bulk Corporate Order
Group or corporate orders for lunch meetings are welcome. The shop is located near offices and accepts bulk orders with advance notice. Contact by phone to arrange quantities exceeding the standard daily allocation.
Takeout Only Service
Macaroni Bento operates exclusively as a takeout counter. There is no eat-in seating. All bentos come packaged and ready to take away. The 5-tsubo (approx. 16.5 sqm) shop focuses entirely on efficient bento preparation and handoff.
Daily Limit: 30 Portions
Each day, only 30 bentos are prepared for walk-in customers. Once sold out, no further same-day orders are accepted. This limit ensures freshness and quality — each cutlet is fried in-house and the cheese sauce is poured fresh per order.
Current Temporary Closure
As of 2026, the shop is temporarily closed (CLOSED_TEMPORARILY status confirmed via Google Maps). The website at macaroni-bento.webnode.jp is no longer active. Please call ahead (080-5008-4209) to verify current operating status before visiting.
Shop Highlights
Supervised by Macaroni Shokudo (Yonago, Tottori)
The menu concept and name are inspired by Macaroni Shokudo, a popular casual Italian restaurant in Yonago, Tottori Prefecture, run by a relative of the founding company's CEO. Macaroni Shokudo is known for its large wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas, cheese fondue, and hearty portions.
Operated by OTO Co., Ltd.
The bento shop is run by OTO Co., Ltd. (株式会社OTO), a Tokyo-based company (Chiyoda-ku) with diversified operations spanning construction consulting, IT business support, production, and food service. Macaroni Bento is part of their food and beverage venture.
Premium Japanese Chicken
Only domestic Japanese chicken — specifically Daisen chicken (大山鶏) from Tottori Prefecture — is used for the cutlets. This premium brand chicken is known for its juicy, flavorful meat with a lighter texture than pork, making it appealing to a wide range of customers including health-conscious diners.
Popular with Female Customers
Despite the hearty portion size, the bento is especially popular with female customers due to the mild, creamy cheese sauce and the use of chicken breast rather than pork. The cheese sauce is intentionally not too sharp, resulting in a mellow, pleasant richness that avoids feeling heavy.
