A cozy, retro-style Japanese kissaten (traditional coffee house) belonging to the long-running Kōhīkan (Coffee Kan) chain, whose first shop opened in Kanda-Jimbocho, Tokyo, in 1970 under the motto "Put your heart into a cup of coffee." The interior offers sofa seating and a nostalgic Shōwa-era café atmosphere just a minute from Hanzomon Station. It is known for its signature charcoal-roasted coffee, brewed from select green beans slow-roasted over domestic binchotan charcoal, and for copper-plate-grilled traditional hotcakes. The food menu also covers sandwiches, spaghetti, curry and hayashi rice, and coffee-paired sweets.
