A small, counter-only Edomae sushi shop near Kikukawa Station, just steps from the Super Oozeki supermarket. With only about ten seats, the calm, no-frills space is run by an experienced sushi chef and has built a loyal local following. Sushi Sen is best known for its legendary weekday lunch of nigiri, chirashi, or nakaochi (scraped tuna) rice bowl served with clear soup — a deal that has stayed remarkably affordable for years. In the evening the menu shifts to a la carte nigiri, chirashi, and hand rolls at reasonable prices for quality Edomae-style sushi.
