OKU was a hideaway pork shabu-shabu specialty restaurant tucked in a backstreet near Harajuku Station. The stylish, calm dining room mixed wood tones with sofa seating, a chandelier, and tea-ceremony accents for a quiet, date-friendly atmosphere. The kitchen centered on rare Agu pork sourced directly from Okinawa, cooked shabu-shabu style with colorful seasonal vegetables and mushrooms, alongside onigiri made with prized Shiozawa Koshihikari rice and house-made wagashi with matcha for dessert. According to the restaurant's Instagram account, OKU closed its doors after three years in business.
