Akaya (Yokohama Iekei Ramen Akaya) is a branch of a fast-growing Yokohama iekei ramen chain, tucked right by Keisei-Yawata Station in Ichikawa, Chiba. The clean, modern shop seats 18 across a counter and tables, and centers on a rich, creamy pork-and-chicken tonkotsu-shoyu broth paired with thick, chewy noodles. Signature bowls include the classic shoyu ramen, tantanmen, and the house "Akamori" ramen, topped with chashu, spinach, nori, and a soft-boiled egg, with garlic, doubanjiang, sesame, and vinegar left on the table for self-customization. As is typical for iekei shops, rice refills and extra-large noodle portions come free with any ramen order. Opened in October 2024, it's a quick, casual, walk-in-only spot that stays open past midnight for late-night ramen cravings.
