Yōkan shop YONEBUN is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop on Naritasan Omotesando, the approach to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, founded in 1919 and now run by its third generation. The shop is known as the original creator of kurimushi yōkan, a steamed chestnut yōkan hand-crafted one piece at a time using the same recipe for over a century. Production is kept small-batch to preserve the fresh texture of freshly steamed yōkan, so confections are sold mainly at the main store, with an online shop also available for those who cannot visit in person.
