A modest, time-worn soba and udon shop tucked just off Naritasan Shinshoji Temple's approach road, near the old Yakushido shrine. Founded in 1934, it keeps its Showa-era character intact: a small dining room with well-worn tables, unhurried service, and a clientele of temple pilgrims and longtime neighborhood regulars. Alongside hand-cut soba and udon, the house is best loved for its curry nanban soba, a nostalgic specialty regulars keep coming back for. The kitchen has historically even delivered orders to worshippers at the temple itself.
