Nisshin An is a traditional soba noodle shop on the approach to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, in business since 1907 and renovated in 2012. The dining room has a simple, old-town noodle-shop feel with counter and table seating, popular with temple-approach visitors stopping in for a quick, casual meal. Hand-cut soba and udon are the specialty, served alongside tempura and eel rice bowls (tendon, anago tendon, unaju) and a house soba-tofu dish. Sweet amazake and grilled konjac skewers are sold at the storefront for passers-by, and vegetarian-friendly options are available on request.
