Miyoshiya is a hidden Japanese sweets teahouse reached via a narrow side path off the bustling Naritasan Omotesando approach, right next to the well-known Kawatoyo eel restaurant. Past its discreet entrance, guests find a quiet courtyard garden with bamboo and seasonal greenery, viewed from tatami and counter seating that feels worlds away from the crowded pilgrimage street outside. The shop specializes in traditional wagashi-café fare — kuzukiri, warabimochi, oshiruko, anmitsu, kakigori shaved ice, and matcha or sencha served with seasonal sweets — made with Narita-grown mochi rice, Chiba peanuts, and local Chomeisen amazake.
