Ajihiro is a hideaway izakaya tucked into the basement of an office building in Nishishinbashi, near Toranomon Hills. Table seating and low lighting give it the feel of a backstreet drinking den, well suited to work parties and casual gatherings after office hours. The kitchen buys fish directly at Tsukiji each morning and grills dried fish from the noted Bansuke shop alongside other seafood dishes, pairing them with a rotating list of more than twenty sakes, led by the house's dry Niigata brew "Yukiotoko." Every table starts with the signature otoshi: all-you-can-eat deep-fried tuna.
