A tiny 8-seat standing wine bar in Kiyosumi-shirakawa, run solo by owner Mamoru Akasaka, who describes dining as "the most familiar kind of theater." The polished, slightly raised counter puts his unhurried, deliberate movements on full display as he pours natural wine and plates small dishes. To keep the one-man operation manageable, the food menu is deliberately kept small, split between just two flat prices. Expect natural wine by the glass or bottle alongside bar snacks like tulip-cut fried chicken, spicy potato salad, and a smooth hummus with seasonal vegetables, bonito, and nuts. Ball opened in December 2025 and has quickly become a favorite low-key stop on neighborhood walks.
