A tiny 16-seat counter-only ramen shop near Kinshicho Station, all non-smoking, with a pleasant street view from the counter. It is the flagship shop of the Mengyo group and built its name on dashi made purely from red sea bream (madai), pursuing a broth that is refined yet powerful, with a lingering aftertaste from the fish itself. Signature dishes are the madai ramen and madai tsukemen (dipping noodles), served alongside a rice-porridge set finished with the leftover soup. It has been selected multiple times among Tabelog's nationally ranked Top 100 Ramen Restaurants, and draws long weekend queues; popular with solo diners, including women, for both lunch and dinner.
